The company was founded by us; three long-time friends and dads of college-age daughters. Just the thought of not being able to protect our daughters every day gave us a constant dreading feeling. After seeing several statistics and realizing the current state of the world, we started the search for personal safety devices for women.

Our search showed that self-defense weapons, pepper sprays, tasers, and various self-defense kits were not an option for our daughters, as they could often worsen the attack. It became clear that an alarm keychain for self-defense was the winner. And that’s how our AlertU was born.

AlertU IS REUSABLE AND BATTERIES LAST UP TO 1 HOUR OF CONTINUOUS USE

Our alarm uses two CR2032 batteries that are widely available in stores.

They last up to 1 hour of continuous use. If unused, we recommend changing the batteries once per year.

How to change batteries:

1. Remove the cover.

2. Remove the internal screws and old batteries.

3. Install two new CR2032 batteries.

4. Replace the screws and put the cover back on.
