Two Connection Methods of POE Camera

Here’s what you might want to know about POE camera:

1.This is a POE(Power Over Ethernet)Camera:

Our poe camera can work with 802.3at standard PoE switch that the DC voltage is between 44~57V with a typical value of 48V. PoE switch Single port input power is 30W. (For example, you can refer to TP-Link brand POE switch)

2.Why does this POE (Power Over Eithernet) camera has 2 cables?

Because some customers do not have a poe switch at home, in order to allow customers to use this camera, we provide a power adapter to power the camera, so this camera has two power supply methods, you can choose the one that suits you according to your needs.

About SD Card Recording

1.Support up to 128G micro SD card（SD card is not included in the POE PTZ camera）

2.Support 24/7 all-day recording, if the SD card is full, the new recording will overwrite the old recording in turn.

3.Support APP, HiP2P Client, browser play or download the recorded video.

4.Support remote access and playback the video from SD card of security outdoor camera (including time playback and file playback)

Q: Why is my PTZ POE camera not compatible with my NVR?

A:

1. First of all, your NVR needs to support ONVIF.

2. Please enter the camera’s IP address in the browser, then log in to the camera and change the camera’s IP address to a static IP address. And the camera and NVR need to be kept in the same local area network and the same network segment.

3. If your NVR system only supports H.264 codec, then please modify the video compression of our camera to H.264 on the browser.

4. After the above operations are completed in the browser, please connect the camera to your nvr.

Q: Why can’t my IR Lights turn off?

A: The IR lights are turned on or off depending on the IR CUT, and the IR CUT can be turned off.

A kind reminder, the camera’s IR CUT is automatically turned on or off according to the intensity of the light. At night, if the camera’s IR CUT is turned off, the camera will not be able to sense the intensity of the light, nor will the IR lights be turned on automatically, so the camera’s live view interface will be black and you won’t be able to see anything .

Therefore, we do not recommend turning off the IR Cut of the camera. The working principle of the IR lights of all cameras on the market is the same, please understand!

Q: How do I get the IP address of the PTZ POE camera?

(1) View it on camhi or camhipro APP: Settings>Device Information>IP Address

(2) View it on computer: please download the search tool of the HX series on SV3C web. (Note: The camera and computer must be under the same LAN when using it.)

Q: How to play H.264 video and convert video format?

Please download the HiPlayer_Setup_v1.2 and FileConverter_Tool installation packages of the HX series on SV3C web.
